Paint Correction · Milford, Michigan
True Paint Correction.
No Glaze. No Shortcuts.
Most shops hide swirls under a glaze that washes away in weeks. We remove them. Through multi-stage machine polishing, your paint is corrected, not concealed, restoring real depth, clarity, and a mirror gloss that lasts. Performed by hand, by a specialist, in our climate-controlled studio.
The Problem
The flaws hiding in your finish.
Under direct sunlight, the truth shows: fine swirls, scratches, and a haze that flattens what should be a deep, wet gloss. A wax or a glaze will hide them for a wash or two. Only true correction removes them.
Swirl marks and spider-webbing
The fine, circular scratches that appear under the sun, almost always from automatic washes and improper drying. They scatter light and kill the gloss.
Scratches and scuffs
Deeper marks from daily life, brushes, and careless hands. Left alone, they catch the eye on every panel.
Buffer trails and holograms
The streaky, marbled haze left behind by rushed or amateur machine work. Bad correction can look worse than none at all.
Oxidation and fading
Years of UV and neglect dull the clear coat, draining the color and depth out of the paint.
Water spots and etching
Minerals left to bake on the surface etch into the clear coat, leaving rings a normal wash will never lift.
A flat, lifeless finish
Even a clean car looks dull when the paint has lost its clarity. The depth and shine you paid for slowly disappear.
A wax or a glaze hides these flaws for a wash or two. True paint correction removes them, restoring the finish itself.
The Ascension Standard
Corrected,
not concealed.
Picture your paint with the swirls gone, the depth back, and a gloss so clean it mirrors the world around it.
True paint correction does not hide a single flaw. Through multi-stage machine polishing, we refine the clear coat itself, removing the swirls, scratches, and haze that flatten a finish. What is left is the paint as it was meant to look, only better.
Every correction is performed by hand, by one specialist, in our climate-controlled studio, under dedicated lighting that exposes every defect. We correct only as far as your paint safely allows, chasing maximum clarity without ever risking the health of the finish.
The result is not a shine that washes away in a few weeks. It is a deep, mirror gloss and a clarity you can see from across the lot, the kind of finish that makes a car look like the investment it is.
That is why Michigan's new and high-end vehicle owners trust Ascension with their paint. Done the right way, the first time.

Why Ascension
Why true correction is different.
Anyone can throw a glaze on paint and call it corrected. Here is what makes real paint correction at Ascension worth the difference.
We correct, we never conceal
A glaze or filler hides swirls until the next wash. We remove the defects from the clear coat itself, so the finish you see is real and it lasts.
Multi-stage machine polishing
One, two, or three stages, matched to your paint's condition. Each stage refines the finish further, from light haze to the heaviest defects.
Matched to your paint
We assess the clear coat and correct only as far as it safely allows. Maximum clarity, never at the cost of your paint's health.
Done by hand, by a specialist
Correction is a craft, not a quick buff. One specialist works your car panel by panel, by appointment, from start to finish.
Revealed under correction lighting
Defects hide in ordinary light. We work under dedicated lighting that exposes every swirl, so nothing is missed and nothing is faked.
Climate-controlled specialist studio
Correction demands a controlled environment. Yours is done indoors, in our studio, never outside in a lot at the mercy of the weather.
This is what separates true paint correction from a quick buff and a coat of wax. Done the right way, the first time.
Our Process
How we correct your paint.
True correction is deliberate, and it is never guessed at. From the first conversation to the moment we hand back your keys, every step is precise, and every step is agreed with you first. This is what it looks like to have your paint corrected the right way.
The Consultation
It begins with a conversation, not a checkout counter. We inspect your paint under proper lighting, show you the swirls and defects most people never notice, and learn exactly what you want from the finish. From there we guide you to the level of correction your car actually needs, never more than it should have.
Your Tailored Plan
Before any work is scheduled, the plan is locked in. The package, the number of correction stages, and the result you can expect, all agreed in advance. You know precisely what your paint is getting, with no surprises and no mid-job upsells.
The Full Correction
Now the craft begins, exactly as discussed in your consultation. Your car is washed, decontaminated, and clayed, then corrected through multi-stage machine polishing, by hand, by one specialist, in our climate-controlled studio. We remove the defects from the clear coat itself rather than hiding them, refining the finish panel by panel.
The Final Inspection
Before you ever see it, the finished paint is inspected under dedicated correction lighting, every panel checked against the standard we set in your consult. Nothing leaves our studio until the finish is exactly what we promised you.
The Reveal
We hand you the keys and walk you through the result, along with how to keep that finish looking its best. You drive away with paint that is corrected, not concealed, and a gloss you can see from across the lot.
No shortcuts. No rushed correction. Done the right way, the first time.

Questions, Answered
Paint correction FAQ.
Will paint correction remove all my scratches?
It removes the vast majority. Swirls, haze, light scratches, and oxidation that sit in the clear coat are corrected through machine polishing. A few deep scratches that have cut through the clear coat cannot be polished out safely, and we will never thin your paint chasing one mark. During your consultation we tell you exactly what will come out and what will not, before any work begins.
How long does paint correction last?
Correction is permanent. Once the defects are polished out of the clear coat, they are gone for good. The only way they return is through new damage, which almost always comes from improper washing. The best way to preserve a corrected finish is to protect it with a ceramic coating, which locks in the gloss and makes the paint far harder to swirl again.
Is paint correction safe for my clear coat?
In the right hands, yes. Correction removes only a microscopic layer of clear coat to level the defects, and a specialist knows exactly how far the paint can safely go. We assess your clear coat first and correct only as far as it allows. Maximum clarity, never at the cost of your paint's health. Rushed or amateur polishing is what damages paint, and that is the opposite of how we work.
What is the difference between 1-step, 2-step, and 3-step correction?
The number of stages matches the severity of the defects. A 1-step reduces light swirls and haze and restores gloss. A 2-step goes further, removing deeper swirls and scratches for dramatic clarity. A 3-step is our most advanced process for heavy defects, oxidation, and the closest result to perfection. Our Arise, Elevate, and Ascend packages map to these three levels, and we recommend the right one in your consultation.
How is true correction different from a buff and wax?
A quick buff and a coat of wax or glaze fill and hide swirls temporarily. They reappear with the next wash. True correction removes the defects from the clear coat itself through multi-stage machine polishing, so the result is real and permanent. One conceals the problem for a week, the other corrects it for good.
Do you correct exotic and luxury vehicles?
Regularly, and they are exactly what our top tier is built for. Exotic, luxury, and enthusiast-owned vehicles demand a specialist who treats every panel as a one-of-one. Each correction is performed by hand, by appointment, by a single specialist, in our climate-controlled studio, with the care a vehicle like that deserves.
Should I get a ceramic coating after correction?
It is the smartest next step. Correction restores the finish, and a ceramic coating protects it for years, locking in the gloss, repelling water and dirt, and making the paint far harder to swirl again. Coating freshly corrected paint is the ideal time to do it, because you are sealing in a flawless finish rather than locking in old defects. We are happy to walk you through it during your consultation.
How do I know which package my car needs?
You do not have to guess. We inspect your paint under proper lighting, show you the defects, and recommend the level of correction your car actually needs, never more than it should have. The goal is always the right result for your vehicle, not the biggest invoice. Tell us about your car and we will point you to the package that fits.
Ready When You Are
