The Leap
It Started The Night We Bet On Ourselves
Founded by David and Elie Alam, two brothers who decided there was more to life than a classroom.
David had just finished his first year of college, and he hated every minute of it. He was chasing a degree that gave him nothing, and he knew deep down he was built for more.
Elie was heading into his junior year of high school and never believed in the traditional path either. What he did believe in was cars. The detailing, the protection, the craft of making a vehicle look flawless. That love ran deep.
So at just 18 and 16 years old, they made the jump. That same night, they formed their LLC and started sketching out exactly how they would build something real. Two kids, zero business experience, and a belief that would not let go.
Humble Beginnings
Brick Walls And A Whole Lot Of Heart
Ascension started in a sub-1,000 square foot space in Wixom, Michigan. At first it was nothing but bare brick walls. We did not care. We knew we would make it work by any means necessary.
We ordered every piece of equipment we could afford and started promoting everywhere, desperate for our first clients. Within a few days the lesson hit hard: success does not happen overnight, and running a business is not all fun and games.
Long days turned into longer nights as we taught ourselves to run a real company in record time. Starting with zero knowledge of business was terrifying. But we were unbelievably motivated, and we knew we would make these dreams come true.

From the outside you might see two small business owners. In reality we are two brothers from Michigan who grew up in the same state as you, raised on the same love of cars that runs through every corner of the Motor City.
We have spent our entire lives in Farmington Hills. From the movies and the video games to standing curbside at the Dream Cruise every summer, that passion was always there, always pulling us toward this.
Our mission is simple. Bring the community of enthusiasts together by taking as many vehicles as possible to a new level of perfection.
That is what Ascension was always meant to be. Not just a shop, but a home for people who love their cars as much as we love ours. And there are some huge plans coming for 2026. Stay tuned.
Our Journey
From A Brick Box To A Statement Piece
Ascension Automotive now calls Milford, Michigan home. Our nearly 5,000 square foot facility has let us grow the team, sharpen our craft, and build a client experience that is genuinely unmatched in the area.
We secured this location before the summer of 2024 and have worked harder than ever since, adding new services and reaching more enthusiasts across Oakland County and beyond. It ranks among the best facilities in Michigan, and it is the statement piece our clients fall in love with the moment they walk in.
Stepping up to this space was a massive leap, and it was very scary at first. The incredible support of the Michigan community turned that leap of faith into reality. We are still pushing for more every single day, so your experience with us only gets better.
