Why Plymouth owners choose Ascension
A downtown car and a highway car.
Plymouth is unusual in having both M-14 and I-275 on its doorstep and a genuine walkable downtown at its centre. Which of those two your car lives in decides everything about what it needs. Beck Road north is the run out to us either way.
Plymouth is two different driving environments in one town. There is the downtown, where cars park on the street and take parking damage, and there is the Ann Arbor Road and M-14 corridor, where they take highway stone. Which one your car lives in changes what it needs.
We work primarily on new and high-end vehicles from around Plymouth, across all five services. Every vehicle gets a dedicated bay and a set block of time in a climate controlled studio, and nothing is subcontracted.
What we do in Plymouth
Five services. One standard of install.
Each one solves a different problem, and a downtown car and an M-14 commuter want different things. Tell us which yours is and we will scope to it.
Service 01 · PPF
Paint Protection Film in Plymouth
Legend Prime film, computer cut for your exact vehicle, backed by a twelve year written warranty.
Paint protection film is a clear urethane layer that takes the stone chips, road salt and wash marring your clear coat would otherwise absorb. It self heals with heat, so light swirls lift back out instead of building up. Under the film every panel stays factory, never blended and never resprayed.
If the car commutes M-14 or I-275, front end coverage is the priority and the case is straightforward. If it mostly parks around the downtown, door edges and cups matter more than the hood does. We will ask before we quote.
- Three coverage levels, from the front end through to every painted panel
- Paint correction included before any film goes on, always
- Every edge wrapped rather than trimmed on your paint
- Twelve year written warranty against yellowing, cracking and peeling
Service 02 · Tint
Window Tint in Plymouth
Ceramic film only. Over 90 percent total heat rejection and 99 percent UV, cut to your exact glass.
Tint is comfort and protection before it is looks. Ceramic film rejects the heat that bakes a cabin through a Michigan July without the purple fade, bubbling or signal interference that dyed and metallic films bring. Every window is templated to your vehicle and cut before it touches the glass.
Ceramic film does two jobs on a commuter car: it cuts the heat sitting in traffic, and it blocks the UV that ages the interior while the car sits in a lot all day.
- Ceramic film across every tier, no dyed or metallic film in the building
- Over 90 percent total heat rejection, 99 percent UV blocked
- Cut and installed in a dust controlled bay for clean, even edges
- Lifetime warranty, with a free re-tint if the film ever bubbles or peels
Service 03 · Ceramic
Ceramic Coating in Plymouth
A hard, hydrophobic layer bonded over corrected paint. One, three and five year tiers.
A ceramic coating is a hardened layer bonded to your clear coat that wax was never able to be. Water sheets off, brake dust and bird droppings struggle to etch, and washing gets meaningfully easier. Every tier here includes complete paint correction first, because a coating locks in whatever is underneath it for as long as it is on the car.
Road film off M-14 is oily and persistent, and it bonds if you leave it. A coating means it lifts in a normal wash rather than needing chemicals every time.
- One year, three year and five year tiers
- Complete paint correction included in every tier
- Easier washing and a finish that stays sharp for years, not weeks
- A specialty option for matte finishes and for coating over film
Service 04 · Correction
Paint Correction in Plymouth
Swirls and etching cut out of the clear coat in measured stages. No glaze, no filler, nothing hidden.
Years of washing leave swirls, haze and water spots that only show up in direct sun or under good lighting. We machine polish the paint back in stages, lifting the defects out rather than filling over them, and we read clear coat thickness as we go so the finish is corrected safely rather than thinned to chase a number.
Most Plymouth cars that come in for correction have wash marring rather than real damage, which is the best case. It lifts out cleanly and it has to happen before any coating.
- Defects removed, never filled or glazed over
- Clear coat thickness measured throughout
- Stage one for any coating or film install
- Finished under inspection lighting before you see it
Service 05 · Detailing
Auto Detailing in Plymouth
Interior and exterior, done to a standard that holds up close and in direct sun.
Detailing here is not a wash. It is a full decontamination inside and out, done by the same specialists who do the correction and coating work, which is why the standard does not drop when the job is a detail rather than a film install.
Commonly booked as the reset before a coating, or before a car is sold. Both are worth doing properly rather than quickly.
- Interior and exterior, decontaminated rather than just cleaned
- Performed by the same team that handles correction and coating
- Sensible first step before any protection service
- Done entirely inside our climate controlled facility

What owners say about the work.
They covered the process from A to Z for my car and their work is impeccable.
Anmol S. · Paint protection film · March 2026Got my windows tinted on my Silverado. I made an appointment beforehand and waited with the truck. The team at Ascension is very professional.
Sebastian Bosoc · Window tint · August 2026Excellent work and staff. I got my car full ceramic coated and couldn't be happier with the results, I'll be sure to bring my other vehicles here.
Kyle Bernard · Ceramic coating · March 2026Frequently asked
Plymouth questions.
How far is the studio from Plymouth?
12.2 miles. North on Beck Road to I-96 exit 160, then west on I-96 to exit 155 for Milford Road. Around twenty minutes.
Does it matter that my car mostly does short local trips?
It shapes the recommendation. Short trip cars take their damage from parking and from standing still, so film goes on the door edges, cups and bumper corners where the hits actually land, and a coating handles the sap, dust and etching that build up while the car is parked.
Do I need an appointment?
Yes. Every vehicle gets a dedicated bay and a set block of time, which is how the work stays consistent. You are welcome to stop in and look at the studio without one, and we would rather you did before booking anything significant.
How long will my car be here?
Window tint is the quickest of the five. Paint protection film, ceramic coating and correction need longer, because the prep is most of the work. You get a real timeline before anything starts, not an estimate that moves once your car is in the bay.
What does it cost?
Pricing is built around the vehicle and the scope, because a two door and a three row SUV are not the same job. Send the year, make and model and you get a real figure rather than a range.
Do you work on daily drivers or only exotics?
Both, and the standard does not move between them. A leased SUV gets the same bay, the same prep and the same inspection as anything else that comes through.
