Michigan's tint law is about placement, not darkness. There is no legal darkness limit on any window in this state. What the law restricts is film on the windshield and the front side windows beyond the top few inches, and enforcement varies a lot from one jurisdiction to the next.
That uncertainty is the real reason people talk themselves into a lighter shade than they wanted. So we take it off the table. If you are ever cited for your tint, we pay it. Not for a year, for as long as you own the vehicle.
And if the citation requires the film to come off, we strip it at no charge and re-tint the vehicle afterward. You do not lose the tint you paid for.

Am I going to get pulled over
Possibly, and that is exactly why the guarantee exists. Michigan regulates where film goes rather than how dark it is, and enforcement is inconsistent across Oakland County and the jurisdictions around it. Most drivers never hear a word. Some get stopped once.
If you do, we pay the citation for as long as you own the vehicle, and if the film has to come off we strip it and re-tint afterward. That is the whole point. You should be able to pick the shade you actually want instead of the shade you think you can get away with.
How dark should I go
20% is what most of our clients land on. It reads as properly tinted from outside, and you can still see clearly reversing out of a dark parking lot at night. 35% is the subtle choice, 5% is fully blacked out.

Will it bubble or turn purple
Not on this film. Purple fade and bubbling come from dyed film, where the dye oxidizes and breaks down under UV. Ceramic film has no dye in it to lose, which is why it still looks correct in year ten.

Do you only do exotics and sports cars
No. Most of what goes through the tint bay is daily drivers, new SUVs, trucks and family cars. The Escalade, the TRX and the Durango in the reviews above are the normal week here.
