How much heat does it actually stop?
Over 90% of total heat and 99% of UV. One you feel on a July afternoon. The other keeps your dash and seats from fading and cracking.
Is it legal in Michigan?
Michigan regulates where film goes more than how dark it is. We build every job to the statute and walk you through each window before anything goes on.
Why not the shop quoting me less?
Dyed or carbon film, installed somewhere with dust in the air. We run ceramic film only, in a climate-controlled studio. Dyed film is why cars come to us to have tint stripped.
Does paint correction come with it?
Yes, every tier. A coating seals in whatever is under it, so correcting first is the entire point rather than an add-on.
Will it stop rock chips?
No, and any shop saying otherwise is selling you something. A coating is chemical and UV protection. Film is the impact layer. If chips are the concern, say so and we point you at film.
Why not the shop quoting me less?
Almost always because there is little or no correction in their number. It looks fine in the parking lot and wrong in direct sun.
Will it yellow or lift?
Yellowing is not how modern film behaves. Lifting edges are an install problem, not a material one, which is why we wrap edges wherever the panel allows instead of cutting on the car.
Can it be removed later?
Yes. Professionally removed film comes off without taking factory paint with it. That is the whole point of it.
Why not the shop quoting me less?
Lower-grade film, or cutting the pattern on the vehicle with a blade instead of using a plotted pattern. The first shows up in year three. The second shows up at the first hood edge you look at closely.
Why does this need a longer conversation?
A bundled protection package has your driving, your storage, your paint and the order of operations all pulling on each other. We will not prescribe that off a form.
How do you decide what goes in it?
We run the discovery once on you and the vehicle, then prescribe. If a piece will not earn its place on your car, we tell you to leave it off.

On a package the risk is the handoffs, not the number. Split across three shops, nobody owns the order and nobody owns the outcome.
